A programme of marine, geotechnical and steel works for SUEZ OTV Veolia at the 500 MLD Gandharbpur plant: sheet piled cofferdams and pipe piles at the river intake, plus shore protection and DI pipe installation along the raw water pipeline.

Scope

  • Fabrication and installation of 39 m sheet piles at the intake, the largest single contract at BDT 109.76 M
  • Temporary shore protection with sheet piles along the raw water pipeline at River Crossing 7 (BDT 55.85 M), the 400 m reach at CH 17+350 to 18+410 (BDT 95.77 M) and the 600 m ponds at PK 17 to PK 18 (BDT 95.26 M), including extraction
  • Pipe pile fabrication and driving with interior and exterior rings and stiffeners at I10, I15 and I20, and installation of 57 ring sets (BDT 42.01 M)
  • Strut and H-beam braced walling for the I-10 cofferdam, from supply to fabrication, erection and extraction
  • DI pipe installation in braced trenches, and 2,200 mm CS pipe lines welded to an ASME Section IX WPS with RT and DPT inspection and heat shrink sleeves with holiday testing
  • River erosion protection at the intake with FLXMAT mattress placement (AXL300, DM150 and LB300)
  • MS diesel storage tanks of 60,000 L and 100,000 L built to BS 799 Part 5 with MPT, DPT, hydrostatic and ultrasonic thickness testing, plus an 8 x 20 x 1.5 m pontoon and a 65 m steel gangway to BNBC Part 6 and ISO 12944 painting
